Dogs carry 60% of their bodyweight on their forelimbs (30% on per forelimb) and 40% on their hindlimbs (20% per hindlimb). Even small changes in weight bearing per limb can indicate orthopaedic abnormalities that require intervention.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The Stance Analyzer can be used to collect baseline weight bearing data and evaluate any changes over time to identify subtle changes that may indicate opportunities for preventative care.
HOW DOES MY DOG GET ANALYSED?
The Stance Analysis process is simple and involves your dog standing on a floor mat with 4 quadrants to establish weight bearing by limb.
WHEN SHOULD STANCE ANALYSIS BE USED?
Stance analysis can be used to identify a “problem limb”, monitor progress of treatment and check improvements in weight bearing. The Stance Analyzer can also be used as a scale for routine weight measurement.
